He is a volume builder of new homes in Fort Smith's communities of Wellington Park, Carrington Pointe, Remington Place, Remington At the Park, Southfield Heights, and Turtle Bay; Lavaca's subdivisions of Village Park, Jalyn Addition, and East Ridge; as well as Alma's Pin Oak development; not to mention his early years of building in various neighborhoods of Van Buren or the many custom homes he's built throughout the area over the years.

Griffin 's building career began in Van Buren, where he is past chairman of the Crawford County Home Builder's Council. He is an active Builder and member of his professional trade association. Gary Griffin was the Supervising Contractor of the 1998 'Show Case Home' for the Greater Fort Smith Association of Home Builders.

In State Business Weekly Arkansas magazine Gary Griffin was ranked among the top volume home builders in the state of Arkansas . Locally, Gary has built several homes designated as 'Products Home' for an area Christian School which were, in the spirit of giving, fund-raising gift monies for education.

Gary and his wife Marian have 3 lovely girls, Leslie, Julie, and Emilie. Leslie is married to Michael White formerly of Greenwood .
